1. SPRING
Application: Premium Fertilizer with Crabgrass Control
Benefits:
Premium Fertilizer: Fertilizer feeds your lawn with the necessary nutrients that promote healthy grass and healthy soil. We are applying a specialized fertilizer to help get your lawn off to a strong and healthy start for the season.
Crabgrass Control: Crabgrass control prevents the emergence of crabgrass seedlings before they start growing.
2. SPRING
Application: Premium Fertilizer with Crabgrass Control and Spot Weed Control
Benefits:
Crabgrass Control: We are continuing to prevent Crabgrass seedlings from emerging to keep your lawn looking healthy and great.
Spot Weed Control: Spot weed control reduces the use of pesticides by spraying each weed individually rather than applying weed control to your entire lawn.
Premium Fertilizer: We are continuing to provide your lawn with the necessary nutrients that help prepare for the summer and keep your lawn healthy and looking great.
3. & 4. SUMMER
Application: Grub Control, Premium Fertilizer, and Spot Weed Control
Benefits:
Grub Control: Grub control is a long-term control product that is safe for your lawn and desirable plants. Grubs are destructive pests that feed on the roots of all common grass plants. If grubs are already a problem pesticide sprays can be used to kill adult grubs that are depositing eggs in your lawn. Without proper timing, the application of pesticides will either work poorly or result in failure to control the lawn grub problem.
Premium Fertilizer: We are applying a specialized fertilizer designed for the summer weather to keep your lawn growing healthy and green during the hot season.
Spot Weed Control: We continue to treat your lawn for weeds and reduce the use of pesticides by treating each weed individually.
5. SEPTEMBER
Application: Premium Root Fertilizer, Spot Weed Control, and Optional Fungicide
Benefits:
Premium Root Fertilizer: We are applying a specialized fertilizer designed to nourish your lawn with the necessary nutrients during the hot summer months to maintain a green and healthy lawn.
Spot Weed Control: We continue to treat your lawn for weeds and reduce the use of pesticides by treating each weed individually.
Optional Fungicide Application: Fungicides treat your lawn for diseases such as Red Thread and Dollar Spot. These diseases are most active during moist periods of warm days. Fungi is spread from one area to another by water, mowers, other equipment and shoes.
6. FALL
Application: Premium Deep Root Fertilizer, Spot Weed Control, Aeration Seeding Option (See Aeration and Seeding for more Details)
Benefits:
Premium Deep Root Fertilizer: We are applying a specific fertilizer for the fall weather that keeps your lawn green and healthy throughout the fall and cold weather. This also strengthens your lawns root system and you can expect a green and healthy lawn in the spring.
Aeration & Seeding Option: Aeration is the removal of small cores of soil. The removal of these small cores in a lawn helps prevent rain water run-off, allowing moisture, air, and fertilizer to reach the root zone of your grass. Aeration has many benefits and is essential for a healthy root system and a more beautiful lawn. We recommend customers to take advantage of this option and seeding as needed early in the fall.
7. FALL
Application: Limestone
Benefits:
New England soils are naturally acidic. Limestone is harmless and lowers the acidity level in the soil. Among many other benefits, limestone increases the availability of nutrients in the soil, reduces incidents of insects and diseases, and combats drought stress.
